Karlo Bustos is a content advisor for Proformative, Inc and is the CEO of KB Resources Group, a multi-faceted company that helps organizations plan and execute their strategic objectives. Previously, Bustos was director of financial analysis and researching roles at and benchmarking for CFO Publishing. He was responsible for introducing and creating all of CFO’s new and upcoming benchmarks and data products, and led the development of CFO’s Audit Fee Report, Credit Risk Scorecard, Midcap 1500 Industry Benchmarks and a host of other data-centric analyses and reports for CFO’s readership.
Prior to joining CFO, Bustos was the head of research and analysis for REL, a division of The Hackett Group, leading research and analysis initiatives around working capital, cash management and corporate strategy, Newell Rubbermaid, MedAssets and Thomson Financial.
Bustos is a proven strategy and finance professional with diverse industry knowledge in sales prospecting advisory, financial analysis, and market/competitive analysis. His financial analysis and global commentary around cash flow, finance, and macro business trends have been published in CFO Magazine, CFO Europe, CFO Asia, Wall Street Journal, Financial week, Business week, AP, Reuters, and Dow Jones.
Sarah Johnson provides editorial and content development for Proformative. She is an experienced writer and editor who specializes in helping website managers meet the content needs of their audiences, from including senior executives and small business owners to consumers. John Kogan brings nearly 25 years of leadership experience, including four CFO positions, to his role as CEO/CFO of Proformative, Inc.
Prior to co-founding Proformative in 2009, John held CFO, COO and other finance leadership roles at several leading companies, including Cardinal Health, AlliedSignal and Cisco Systems. In addition to running accounting, finance and treasury departments, Kogan has also led corporate legal, HR, recruiting, IT, facilities and customer service operations.
Kogan has raised well over $100M in equity capital and debt, and has played central roles in numerous buy and sell-side transactions for both public and private companies. His market experience includes domestic and international, public and private companies in the hardware, software, service and process industries. He has also founded, invested in and been a board member or advisor of a number of companies.
Kogan holds an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and a B.A. in Economics from Connecticut College.
